Zalando strengthens senior leadership team
The German-based online platform has announced that Padmaja Bommareddy will join the company in the role of Senior Vice President (SVP) of Corporate Development
She will be responsible for identifying and executing opportunities for the company that will help it deliver on the ambition of becoming the Starting Point for Fashion.
Bommareddy is joining Zalando from Walmart, where she helped lead the apparel omnichannel strategy. According to the company, she brings an "important global perspective to the role", as she worked previously in Europe, Asia and the US.
“We are delighted to welcome Padmaja to our team. We are looking forward to working together on exploring new opportunities to further elevate our services and offerings and grow the company”, expressed co-CEO Robert Gentz. Founded in 2008, Zalando reaches more than 48 million active customers in 23 markets.
