Pitti Uomo hosts Sunflower for CPHFW project

In June, Sunflower will present a special event at Pitti Uomo through a partnership with Copenhagen Fashion Week, introducing the Copenhagen-based brand to a broader international audience
Pitti Immagine and Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW) have announced Sunflower as the CPHFW Special Project at Pitti Immagine Uomo 110, from June 16 through 19, 2026.
The project is positioned as a platform to introduce Sunflower to a wider international audience, while also reinforcing Pitti Immagine’s ongoing engagement with Nordic design.
For the Copenhagen Fashion Week, the collaboration is framed as part of its anniversary programme and to strengthen cross-border partnerships that can expand the global reach of menswear brands.
Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO of CPHFW, described the partnership as an example of how international alliances can amplify creative and commercial potential, adding: “The 110th Edition will stand as testament to the power of collaboration”.
Founded in Copenhagen in 2018, Sunflower is built around denim, tailoring, leather, knitwear and everyday pieces. The brand is known for a restrained design language and an emphasis on garments that develop through wear.
Its founder, Ulrik Pedersen, linked the Florence show to an evolution in the brand’s direction, presenting it as a “next chapter” that keeps the core approach intact while sharpening the expression.
“The foundation is the same, but the expression is sharper, more defined and more ambitious”, he shared, adding that the setting in Florence offers a clear stage to present that progression.
Antonio Cristaudo, Pitti Immagine’s Chief Commercial and Development Officer, connected the initiative to shared priorities between Florence and Copenhagen, arguing that both scenes value research and innovation while remaining closely tied to product and market realities.
He stated that Pitti Immagine was pleased to host the special event in collaboration with Copenhagen Fashion Week and highlighted Pitti Uomo's longstanding interest in Scandinavian brands.
