Ferragamo appoints Fabrizio Freda as Special Strategic Advisor

Ferragamo Finanziaria, the holding company of the Ferragamo family and the controlling shareholder of the luxury group, has appointed the former CEO of The Estée Lauder Companies as Special Strategic Advisor
Fabrizio Freda was the CEO of The Estée Lauder Companies from 2009 to 2024. Prior to this, he spent around 20 years in various senior roles at Procter & Gamble. He now sits on BlackRock’s Board of Directors and focuses on strategic advisory work in areas such as growth, branding, innovation, and new technologies.
Fabrizio Freda will now advise Ferragamo Finanziaria, supporting strategy, key decisions and operations across the Salvatore Ferragamo Group. His responsibilities will include guiding growth initiatives, assisting in the selection of a new CEO and potentially joining the board, all with a focus on long-term value creation.

Di San Giuliano emphasised that this appointment “is part of a broader effort to strengthen the holding company, with the aim of best supporting the development and value creation of all our activities, further consolidating the path already undertaken by the management team of Salvatore Ferragamo over the past year”.
Fabrizio Freda added: thanked the Ferragamo family, saying : “I am ready to make my skills and experience available to support Ferragamo Finanziaria and the Family in their strategic decisions, strengthening the path already undertaken with a spirit of collaboration and an international outlook, always with the priority of enhancing the Group’s businesses”.
