Portuguese Shoes featured in Nespresso campaign with Dua Lipa

Portuguese footwear takes centre stage in Nespresso’s latest campaign with Dua Lipa, showcasing a design created in collaboration with Portugal's footwear industry and designer Willy Chavarria
In Nespresso’s latest campaign, the Radical Optimism singer, who performed in Portugal in 2024, appears wearing a pair of shoes developed through a partnership between the Portuguese footwear industry and Willy Chavarria, with the support of Luís Onofre.
The model worn by the singer is part of the BioShoes4All project – an initiative that brings together sustainability, innovation, and responsible production – and was presented during Paris Fashion Week, at the designer’s FW27 show.
According to Luís Onofre, President of APICCAPS, this type of collaboration is key to the future of the sector.
“Projects like this show that Portugal is not just a manufacturing country; it is a strategic partner in product development, capable of working side by side with global designers and brands. This close relationship between industry and creativity is what allows us to add value and position Portuguese footwear on the most demanding stages in the world”.
Dua Lipa’s choice reinforces a growing trend: Portugal is increasingly establishing itself as a partner of choice for international brands and creators seeking quality, flexibility, and technical expertise. Proof that, beyond manufacturing, the country now plays an active role in the creative development of products that gain global visibility.
For APICCAPS Executive Director Paulo Gonçalves, “at a time when fashion, culture, and environmental responsibility intersect, Portuguese footwear takes another confident step forward, now at the feet of one of the biggest stars on the international stage”.
