Nike appoints new CEO for Converse
Following last week’s announcement of leadership changes, the US-based sportswear giant has now appointed Jared Carver to the role of CEO of Converse, effective as of the 1st of June
With more than a decade of leadership experience at the sneakers' brand, Carver served, most recently, as the Vice President and General Manager of Converse's North America business, “where he unlocked strong growth in the brand’s largest geography”, says the company in a statement.
Before, and within Converse, he was Vice President and General Manager of the global digital direct area, Vice President of strategy, and director of strategy and business development for the brand’s European headquarters.
Jared Carver has succeeded Scott Uzzell and will now report to John Donahoe, President and CEO of Nike. Meanwhile, the company has announced that Scott Uzzell has transitioned to the role of Vice President and General Manager of the North America business for Nike.
