Pitti Uomo with a positive turnout

The Florence trade show focused on men's fashion proposals closed with positive turnout figures. Out of the 11 900 buyers who attended Pitti, 43% were foreign, with a strong return of Asia

“The data on final turnout, with Italian buyers up by 6% and foreign buyers by 24% compared to June 2022 reward the commitment and ability of renewal shown by the 825 exhibitors of this Pitti Uomo and confirm the show's recovery path, which is gradually returning to its pre-crisis dimensions. This is also confirmed by the many initiatives and events in the city in recent days, which numbered over 110 special events”, commented Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti.

From the 13^th to the 16^th of June, 11 900 buyers attended the Pitti Uomo 104 trade show, at Fortezza da Basso, representing over 5 150 sales and distribution companies. The turnout of Italian buyers increased by 6% from June 2022's edition to 6 700, while the presence of foreign buyers grew significantly by 24% to 5 200. The organization added that the main markets present at Pitti were Germany, Great Britain, The Netherlands, Japan, Spain, Turkey, the US, Switzerland, France, China, Belgium, South Korea, Austria, Russia, and Portugal.

But, according to Napoleone, “the central point of the 104^th edition of Pitti Uomo, beyond the consolidation of the European figure, is the return of Asian professionals, which overall reached 700 attendances: coming not only from the three main markets – Mainland China, South Korea and Japan – but also Hong Kong China, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, India and Pakistan”.

The next edition is scheduled to take place from the 9^th to the 12^th of January 2024 at Fortezza da Basso, in Florence.
