New CEO at the helm of Coats Group
The UK-based industrial thread manufacturer for apparel and footwear has now a new Chief Executive Officer. David Paja took up the role this month, succeeding Rajiv Sharma
With a background in manufacturing and engineering, David Paja was most recently Chief Executive of GKN Aerospace, part of Melrose Industries, where he was instrumental in the successful turnaround of the business and delivery of profitable growth. Before that, he held senior positions at Aptiv, Honeywell and Valeo.
“I am thrilled to officially become CEO of the Coats Group. Over the past few weeks, I have visited several of our sites in North America and Europe, spent time with our board, and met some of our great talent. I look forward to what we can achieve together!”, he commented on LinkedIn.
The change in leadership was announced earlier this year. He joined the executive board of directors of the group on the 1st of September and assumed the role of CEO a month later. The transition is now complete, but Rajiv Sharma will continue to provide support and advise his successor until the end of the year.
