MICAM to host 758 exhibitors in the upcoming 102nd edition

The leading footwear trade fair is set to bring together 758 brands for its 102nd edition, taking place from the 13th to the 15th of September at Fiera Milano Rho. The event will involve buyers from 130 countries
MICAM Milano is set to host 758 exhibiting brands in its upcoming edition, taking place from the 13th to the 15th of September at Fiera Milano Rho. Of these, 378 are Italian and 380 are from other countries, totalling 29. The main international markets represented at the fair will be Spain, Turkey, Brazil, Germany and Portugal.
The organisation also counts on the involvement of buyers from 130 countries. Based on registrations, as well as visitors from established European markets such as France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, Poland and the Netherlands, MICAM expects to welcome visitors from the United States, China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Israel and Canada.
The September edition will also see participation from new countries, including Denmark, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Nigeria and Ghana.
This edition will place particular emphasis on buyers and internationalisation, supported by an incoming programme developed in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
MICAM will also introduce a new matchmaking platform that will allow visitors to search for exhibitors by brand, product category, and interests; contact companies via a chat function; and schedule meetings before the event. Buyers can create personalised agendas to prioritise the most relevant business opportunities during their time at the fair.
“The new edition represents another step forward in the evolution of the show: greater incoming programmes, digital matchmaking tools, dedicated buyer services, market insights and networking opportunities complement the exhibition itself, with the aim of making the relationship between supply and demand more effective”, commented Giovanna Ceolini, President of MICAM.
The trade fair will also feature MICAM Next, which will include talks and seminars on the issues shaping the footwear sector. There will also be a new Retail Hub focusing on the evolution of the in-store experience, an Emerging Designers initiative, and a dedicated Academy Hub focusing on footwear and leather goods manufacturing processes and skills.
