The announcement comes just after Informa has communicated it will be debuting Micam Americas in August alongside Magic and Project. The new show will replace FN Platform after Footwear News decided not to continue the collaboration with the footwear trade show.

Informa confirmed Kelly Helfman and Belinda Pina will oversee the management of Micam Americas, and no further information was given. Micam Americas is schedulled to take place in Las Vegas from the 17^th to the 19^th of August.

According to information reported by Footwear News, Tom Nastos, Chief Commercial Officer of Informa Markets Fashion, said that launching Micam Americas would help Magic address the changing demands of trade shows within the footwear community, specifically with the goal of aligning dates and venues globally: "we realized there was an opportunity to help each marketplace bring new product to expand everyone’s offering and work collaboratively with retailers to make it a seamless and positive experience,” Mr. Nastos commented.

The most recent edition of Micam Milano closed two weeks ago before the outbreak of the coronavirus in Italy.
