BAREFooT European Shoe Fair to become biannual

Following the success of the second edition, which attracted over 100 exhibitors from 26 countries, the BAREFooT European Shoe Fair will be held twice a year, beginning in 2027

The second edition of the BAREFooT European Shoe Fair took place at Messe Offenbach from the 24^thto the 26^th of July 2026, bringing together 102 exhibitors representing 121 brands from 26 countries. Around 75% of the exhibitors came from outside Germany, reflecting the event’s growing international appeal.

“The high level of international interest and the positive trend in exhibitor numbers are a strong indication of the appeal of our exhibition venue”, said Arnd Hinrich Kappe, CEO of Messe Offenbach. “The high level of international representation among our exhibitors underlines the growing importance of BAREFooT as a leading international industry platform”, he added.

The organisers said that the trade fair’s continued growth has prompted them to extend the fair’s schedule. From 2027 onwards, BAREFooT will take place twice a year: the third edition is scheduled to take place from the 29^th to the 31^st of January, and the fourth from the 23^rd to the 25^th of July.

They also highlighted that the industry’s confidence was evident from the number of early bookings. A total of 58 exhibitors confirmed their participation in the January 2027 edition before this year’s event had even begun. Further registrations were secured during the three-day fair.
