AYSAF kicks off in high spirits
The organization of the 68th edition of the International Exhibition for Footwear Materials, Components, Leather and Technologies AYSAF is expecting to welcome over 15 000 sector professionals from 80 countries
From today to the 6th of May, AYSAF will host 327 companies of the sector at the Istanbul Expo Centre while anticipating a turnout of over 15 000 professionals, 25% of which are from foreign countries. The footwear suppliers trade fair is organized by the umbrella organization of the industry, the Footwear Industry Suppliers Association AYSAD and Artkim Fuarcilik.
“Our footwear components industry has a highly technological and up-to-date dynamic”, stated the AYSAD Chairman of the Board of Directors Sait Salici, emphasizing the good performance of the sector in 2022. “Last year, we achieved 1 billion 300 million dollars in export value. The European Union countries that have procured substantial amounts of products from the Far East until now started to turn to our country with a high geographical advantage for all their short-term needs with lower volume”, he added.
The organization is therefore optimistic about the future of the Turkish footwear components industry and believes that “exhibitions and one-on-one meetings”, such as the one currently taking place, “will increase the momentum of the industry further”, concluded the Chairman of the Board of Directors of AYSAD.
