Zalando appoints Tom Christenson as SVP to drive B2B growth

The Germany-based online fashion retailer has appointed Tom Christenson as Senior Vice President to further advance its B2B business in the areas of logistics, software and services

Christenson is joining Zalando from TBAuctions, where he most recently served as CEO. Prior to this, he established Uber Freight in Europe, oversaw its merger with sennder Technologies, and subsequently served as COO of the combined entity. While at Amazon, he created and scaled up the Seller Fulfilled Prime programme on a global scale.

According to David Schröder, Co-CEO of Zalando, to whom Christenson reports, “Tom has spent his career building strong marketplaces and the services that help sellers grow on them, and he is the perfect fit as we accelerate our B2B vision to build the operating system for e-commerce in fashion and lifestyle”.

Zalando’s B2B business provides brands and retailers with logistics, software, and services that simplify cross-border e-commerce. Its modular offering includes ZEOS for logistics, Tradebyte for marketplace connectivity, and SCAYLE for online shop infrastructure. In 2025, the business generated over 1 billion euros in revenue and served more than 1,200 merchants.

He is expected to work closely with the leadership teams of ZEOS, Tradebyte and SCAYLE, bringing them together in one joint B2B leadership team.
