Saint Laurent to open new leather goods factory in Italy
French luxury brand Saint Laurent, which belongs to the Kering group, will open a new location for handbags and wallets near Florence
Francesca Bellettini, President and CEO of the Saint Laurent brand, confirmed the new production site, adding that the brand will transfer 340 employees to the new 29 000-square-meter factory in Scandicci's industrial district and hire 300 more people.

Saint Laurent has signed a 27-year lease with Italian holding company Cassa Depositi and Prestiti to lease two buildings that had long been abandoned but will be renovated and delivered to the brand in September 2022.
