Riva del Garda Fierecongressi reshapes structure for growth

The organiser is restructuring operations alongside venue expansion plans, appointing new leaders and making internationalisation a permanent function to compete more effectively for events and buyers
Riva del Garda Fierecongressi has announced a broad internal reorganisation to strengthen its position in a more competitive global market for exhibitions and congresses.
The company links the changes to an ambitious growth strategy and an infrastructure plan focused on expanding and upgrading its venue capacity, alongside a wider real estate investment programme intended to enhance its exhibition and congress facilities.
The Board of Directors has set out strategic guidelines structured around eight priority areas, spanning property development and third-party asset management, recapitalisation, corporate structure, internationalisation, trade fairs and events, organisational efficiency, partnerships and sustainability.
A key element of the programme is the recapitalisation process connected to the construction of a new exhibition hall, which is already underway. In parallel, the company is making internationalisation a permanent function rather than an activity tied to specific events.
Reorganisation
To deliver that shift, Riva del Garda Fierecongressi has created a dedicated Internationalisation Area led by GianPaola Pedretti as Chief International Officer. Pedretti previously managed Expo Riva Schuh and Gardabags.
The reorganisation also merges the International Fairs and Italy Fairs business units into a single structure. The consolidated Fairs Business Unit will be led by Giovanna Voltolini as Group Exhibition Manager, drawing on more than a decade of experience within the company’s event portfolio.
A more product- and project-oriented operating model completes the new structure. Laura Risatti will continue as Project Manager for REbuild and Fine Wine Tourism Marketplace. At the same time, Mauro Di Molfetta remains Product Manager for Gardabags and Ying Zhang takes on the role of Project Manager for Expo Riva Schuh.
Commercial coordination roles have also been clarified, with Sabrina Miorelli set to oversee the sales team and Arianna Morelli leading the commercial office to support market relations and operational continuity.
