Puma appoints new VP of People and Organization
The Germany-based sportswear company has appointed Thomas John as its new Vice President of People and Organisation, with effect from the 16th of October
Thomas John joins Puma from Landis+Gyr, a global provider of energy management and smart metering solutions, where he was Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources. He has nearly three decades of experience in human resources across several industries and has held various senior leadership roles at companies such as KLM, adidas and Mann+Hummel.

Arthur Hoeld, the CEO of Puma, to whom Thomas will report, said: “Thomas offers a wealth of experience when it comes to human resources strategy, organizational development and leadership and is deeply familiar with the challenges and opportunities of our industry. I am confident that his strong background in organizational transformation and global HR management will help us take Puma’s operational excellence to the next level”.

He will succeed Dietmar Knoess, who has decided to pursue new interests outside the company.
