Nordstrom teams up with adidas for World Cup 2026

In order to celebrate the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Nordstrom and adidas have installed displays at 35 of the department store’s locations, including The Corner at its New York City flagship store

The German sportswear company is strengthening its relationship with Nordstrom by launching a partnership to celebrate the FIFA World Cup 2026. This will be the first time that the world’s largest sporting event has been hosted in North America since 1994.

“The FIFA World Cup coming to North America is a once-in-a-generation cultural moment - one that unites people around the world through a universally shared passion. We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate it alongside adidas, a partner who shares our commitment to bringing the best of both worlds to our customers”, said Tacey Powers, EVP and GMM of Shoes at Nordstrom.

The partnership spans 35 Nordstrom stores and is anchored by an immersive adidas installation at The Corner in the NYC flagship store. There is also a dedicated adidas shop-in-shop at the Downtown Seattle store and a curated presentation of the collection across 33 other stores in cities hosting World Cup matches, including Los Angeles, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Atlanta and Miami. It is also available online.

“Together, we’ve created an experience that blends sports and style with a product offering that is curated, fashion-forward, and uniquely Nordstrom. From our NYC Flagship, and our hometown of Seattle, to stores across the country, we’re excited to bring this experience to life for our customers”, she added.

Throughout the tournament, there will be weekly activations every Thursday, featuring gifts with purchases, sweet treats and sweepstakes. Every other week, the Archive Zone will showcase an adidas archive item related to that week’s featured country. Weekend events will also be programmed to align with the featured country of the week.
