LVMH reshuffles leadership at Givenchy

Amadine Ohayon is set to take the reins at Givenchy, replacing Alessandro Valenti. Valenti is leaving after just 18 months to take up a senior position at Christian Dior Couture
The France-based luxury conglomerate has announced the appointment of Amandine Ohayon as the new Chief Executive Officer of Givenchy, effective from the 9th of January. She will succeed Alessandro Valenti, who is leaving the label after just 18 months to become Deputy Managing Director in Charge of Commercial Activities at Christian Dior Couture.
Ohayon began her career at LVMH. She then spent over 18 years at L’Oréal, ultimately becoming Managing Director of the Luxury Division in the UK and Ireland. Until late last year, she was CEO of Stella McCartney, in which LVMH held a stake until early 2025. She will report to Pietro Beccari, who was recently appointed chair and CEO of the LVMH Fashion Group in addition to his role as chair and CEO of Louis Vuitton.
“With her unique ability to collaborate with the most creative talents, coupled with her inclusive leadership and retail expertise, I am convinced Amandine will play a pivotal role in further accelerating the new growth chapter of Givenchy,” said Beccari.
Ohayon and Givenchy’s creative director, Sarah Burton, have been tasked with turning around the label’s prolonged period of underperformance. Givenchy was hit harder than many of its peers during the recent luxury downturn, and has lagged behind other LVMH labels, such as Céline and Loewe.
Alessandro Valenti will report to Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, the deputy CEO of Christian Dior Couture, and will join the brand’s executive committee. He joined Givenchy as CEO in 2024, having spent a decade at LVMH, where he was president of the EMEA region at Louis Vuitton.
“I am confident that Alessandro will make a significant contribution to our retail and digital performance, thanks to his vision, his experience within the group, and his ability to engage teams in addressing business challenges, at this particularly exciting and ambitious time for Christian Dior Couture,” Angeloglou stated.
