Foot Locker teams up with Uber Eats

Shoppers buying footwear at Foot Locker or Champs Sports can have their purchases delivered on-demand or scheduled in time, with over 1,000 stores available through the Uber Eats app

In anticipation of the back-to-school season, the Uber Eats app has partnered with Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker and Champs Sports, bringing over 1,000 stores across the US onto the marketplace.

Shoppers can now browse a wide range of footwear, clothing and accessories in the app, choosing either on-demand or scheduled delivery. Orders are fulfilled by local stores, shortening the path from shelf to doorstep while keeping inventory close to consumers.

“We’re focused on giving customers more ways to shop with speed and convenience”, said Foot Locker’s senior director of Strategy Ashley Chiang. This initiative gives them “another seamless way for them to access the products they love, especially during key shopping moments like back-to-school season.”

Ultimately, the partnership will help Foot Locker to expand its omnichannel strategy by broadening its same-day delivery options and reducing its reliance on any one channel.

Meanwhile, adding Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker and Champs Sports to the Uber Eats app increases its retail selection, establishing it as a more comprehensive shopping destination beyond food. Other retailers, including shoe retailer DSW, Dick’s Sporting Goods and its Golf Galaxy locations, already partnered with Uber.
