Dikamar plants trees in the Mata Nacional do Urso
The Portuguese safety boot manufacturer carried out a reforestation project in the Mata Nacional do Urso, a part of the Leiria forest which was severely affected by the 2017 fires
On the 24th of February, Dikamar carried out a reforestation project in the Mata Nacional do Urso, in the municipality of Pombal, in collaboration with Pombal City Council. This area, which is part of the Leiria Forest, was severely affected by the 2017 fires that destroyed a large part of the Leiria Forest.

This reforestation action follows the “Leave your Trace in the Environment” campaign, launched in November 2023, in which the company committed to reducing the printing of our catalogues by 90%, replacing them with digital format, and planting the equivalent in trees.

Dikamar acknowledged the role played by their employees and their children, who put their hands and feet in action and contributed to the reforestation and biodiversity of this historic forest, part of Portugal’s patrimony.

“It was an opportunity to explore the environment and share values, attitudes, behaviours and practices for valuing nature”.  The company is “increasingly involved and committed to contributing to the well-being of future generations and it is with great pride that we promote these initiatives, keeping our feet in action”, it concluded.
