According CICB, the value was determined by their intelligence unity, based on data released by the Bureau of Foreign Trade from the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC).

Preliminary figures from September resultied in a growth of 15.4% over the same period in 2013. Accumulated numbers for the year, reveal that the leather industry in Brazil recorded a total of exports of 2 237 billion US dollars, an increase of 23% over the same period last year.

CICB highlights a decrease in cattle slaughter in the world, resulting in a new international price scenario with impacts in turnover.
