APLF ASEAN brings the leather industry together to explore the region's potential
APLF ASEAN will return for a second edition from the 25th to the 27th of October 2023, at the Bangkok National Convention Centre, under the motto “ASEAN in Action”
After the successful first edition in 2022, in which more than 200 exhibitors and 4 000 buyers of the tanning and fashion industries came together under the same roof within the ASEAN bloc, the event is about to return under the motto “ASEAN in action”. Therefore, from the 25th and the 27th of October, the organization hopes to promote new business opportunities, foster collaborations and showcase the latest trends in the sector.

The programme includes a series of events designed to stimulate the sharing of knowledge and interest in leather. On the one hand, the Next Thai Leather Goods Designer Competition will function as a “platform for young talents to showcase their creativity and craftsmanship under the theme “Simple is Sustainable”; on the other hand, established ASEAN designers will showcase their iconic bags during the fair and share their stories with the visitors.

In addition, designers, buyers and store trainers will take part in a workshop focusing on the sustainability of leather and leather manufacturing and receive a colour and material trend guide for the autumn-winter 24/25 collection.

This edition is supported by national leather and footwear associations, such as the Thai Tanning Industry Association (TTIA), the Vietnamese Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association (LEFASO), the Indonesian Tanners Association (APKI) and Fashion Accessory Makers of the Philippines (FamPH).
