New North America President at Puma

The sportswear company has announced that Tara McRae will succeed Bob Philion as President of Puma North America, where she will oversee the company’s business in this market
Most recently responsible for Puma’s marketing and brand strategy in North America, Tara McRae has been appointed President of the North America region. She succeeds Bob Philion, who left the company after 20 years and eight years as President of the region to pursue opportunities.
“With Tara, we have appointed a leader with a great understanding of our consumers, our industry and the North American market. I strongly believe she has the experience and the strategic mindset to help us succeed in this crucial market”, commented Puma’s Chief Commercial Officer, Matthias Bäumer.
She rejoined the sportswear company in 2024 as Senior Vice President, Brand and Strategy, having held various roles between 2006 and 2016. She was also Global Chief Marketing Officer and Digital Officer at Clarks and the first Chief Marketing Officer at TB12, Tom Brady's global health and wellness brand.
“I want to thank Bob for the past eight years as the President of PNA, a time during which we put Puma back on the map in North America, and I wish him all the best for the future”, added Bäumer.
