More than 9 000 visitors at the last edition of Expo Riva Schuh

The 101st edition of Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags, held in Riva del Garda from the 15th and the 18th of June, attracted more than 9 000 visitors from 100 countries around the world

The last edition of the Italian trade fair specialising in footwear, bags and accessories hosted 1 300 exhibitors and brands from 40 countries (80% international and 20% Italian) and attracted more than 9 000 visitors, a “significant growth compared to both January 2024 and last year’s June edition”.

The organisation highlighted the return of several countries that had been absent since the pandemic, namely Uzbekistan, Rwanda, Falkland Islands, Eritrea and Suriname, which made it possible to complete a global representation of 100 countries. The increase in visitors from Latin America and Europe, especially the return of buyers from Germany and Italy, is also noteworthy, pointed out Roberto Pellegrini, President of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi.

In addition to the presentation of the Spring Summer 2025 collections, the fair hosted 19 events “aimed at offering a complete overview of the footwear, bags and fashion accessories market”, including the analysis of consumer trends at the Highlights area, an in-depth analysis of markets in different countries through the Market Focuses and the return of the Innovation Village Retail, with the presence of 10 startups from 7 countries.

“The enthusiastic participation in all the events we offered at this edition has validated our vision: to innovate the trade fair format and provide an event that enhances business opportunities well beyond the traditional stand space”, commented the General Manager of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, Alessandra Albarelli.

Underlining Albarelli’s sense of the “importance of going beyond the ‘mere’ organisation of a trade fair and the value of encouraging strong relationships among industry players”, GianPaola Pedretti, Exhibition Manager, announced that Expo Riva will continue to internationalise, “ensuring the best possible matching of supply and demand”. To this end, the Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags Around the World project will head to China, India and Turkey in the coming months.

The fair's next edition will take place from the 11^th to the 14^th of January 2025 at Riva del Garda.
