Miscellaneous Tariff Bill signed into law

Miscellaneous Tariff Bill signed into law
Last night President Trump signed the Miscellaneous Tariff Bill (MTB) into law. The MTB will provide temporary tariff cuts for certain items not made or available in the US including 65 different types of footwear. The House and Senate passed the bill with overwhelming bipartisan support
FDRA President and CEO Matt Priest commented on the decision, after the President signed the MTB into law: "Achieving temporary duty relief though the MTB has been a top priority for FDRA, and passage of this legislation represents a multi-year effort. FDRA worked hard throughout the process to file petitions for FDRA member companies and educate Members of Congress on the importance of this initiative. Now that the bill has been signed into law, we are excited about the opportunities this will provide to help strengthen footwear companies and consumers."
