Men are the new footwear fans, who are constantly looking for footwear that will match and improve their style
Women being shoe lovers (and having dozens of pairs of shoes in their wardrobes) is a stereotype that might just be at risk. Men, over the latest years, have been buying and spending more on shoes.

For men, usability was always a valuable factor when considering footwear. For instance, if we consider a pair of mountain boots, you can probably wear them every day for a whole year, as they will feel comfortable and adapt easily to the clothes you’re wearing. Even though aesthetics plays a key role, for the male population,  footwear has always more about practicality and comfort.

Only recently men have started to feel a need to have differentiated and attractive footwear that would adequate to each situation and add the look that they are looking for. As a consequence, the number of men fashion blogs’, magazines and events have increased slightly.

Two opportunities for footwear brands


In the first place, increase sales by creating new product lines for men. Naturally, the number of footwear brands that are taking advantage of the trend is already increasing. Comfortable and appealing boots, unique artist sneakers, and classy shoes. You name it.

Secondly,  associate with fashion blogs, events, and other marketing initiatives to position your company as a men's brand. This will add value to your footwear company and products, and make it easier to sell.
