Leather Naturally appoints two new members to its Management Board

The not-for-profit membership association representing the leather industry has appointed Jim Deheer (Loop Marketing) and Carla Vélez (Leather Cluster Barcelona) to its Management Board
Jim Deheer, who has more than two decades of experience in the leather, luxury and manufacturing sectors, will succeed Alexa Rosatti (JBS) as Communications Lead on the Leather Naturally management board.
Through his work with the Scottish Leather Group, the Leather Working Group, One 4 Leather and his own company, Loop Marketing, Jim brings “a deep understanding of sustainability, certification and communication within the leather value chain” to this new position.
Meanwhile, Carla Vélez has taken over the position previously held by Natasja Brouns (Stahl). She studied at La Gaspar School of Art and Design in Igualada, Spain, and holds a Master’s in Fashion Communication and Marketing, specialising in the luxury sector.
She now leads European projects at Leather Cluster Barcelona, connecting design, education and sustainability. She continues to teach at La Gaspar and coordinate its Erasmus programme, while also promoting leather as a noble, sustainable material.
They will both serve on the Leather Naturally Management Board for an initial term of three years.
