Laure Browne is new Veja's CEO
The French-based sustainable sneakers brand Veja has appointed Laure Browne as the group's new CEO. She will be the first external group CEO
Laure Browne is joining Veja taking the position of Group's CEO. This is the first time in the company’s fifteen-year history that co-founders Sébastien Kopp and Ghislain Morillion, who created the brand 15 years ago, appoint someone else for this role. Veja is growing independently with no investors so far and the intentions of the brand and its owners is to keep it that way.
Browne wrote on her Linkedin page: "After 30 years of experience in French and international groups I decided to give a new orientation to my career by joining a company that allows the convergence of my personal and professional values. My mission at Veja will be to support the co-founders on both strategic and operational levels, and to lead the young Veja talents toward the next level".
Employing 120 people in France and Brazil, Veja is growing its global presence having the United Kingdom and United States are their first markets, ahead of their home country France.
Browne’s previous experiences include Senior positions at Auchan Retail, Fnac, SFR, Marionnaud, Yves Saint Laurent Beauty and BIC.
