Kizik launches its first running shoe

The US-based hands-free footwear company has launched the Freedom Run model. This marks a major expansion of the brand's proprietary hands-free technology into the performance running category
Built with HandsFree Labs® technology, the Freedom Run incorporates the brand’s Internal Flex Arc™ system and Tented Heel Pocket, allowing for hands-free entry while aiming to maintain heel stability during movement. This model is designed to eliminate the need for manual adjustments while delivering the level of fit and responsiveness expected from a performance running shoe.
“At Kizik, we’ve always been focused on making the first step of movement feel effortless”, said Gretchen Weimer, Chief Product & Merchandising Officer of Kizik. "With Freedom Run, we’re extending that vision into running, showing that hands-free technology can support every kind of movement, from everyday activity to performance-driven moments”.
The Freedom Run is the first Kizik shoe to feature VivaFoam™, the brand’s latest midsole innovation. It is a lightweight, durable, compression-resistant platform designed to absorb impact and provide responsive energy return with repeated use.
Other features include a rocker sole for smoother heel-to-toe transitions, an engineered mesh upper for ventilation and comfort, and a full rubber outsole with flex grooves for enhanced durability and traction.
This launch reflects Kizik’s efforts to extend its hands-free design approach beyond lifestyle footwear into the athletic category by introducing step-in functionality to a performance running platform.
