Kiton invests in new production cluster
The Italian luxury ready-to-wear and bespoke clothing company will invest 30 million euros in a new facility in Arzano (Naples) to strengthen its production, including that of accessories and shoes
In an interview with the L’Economia of Corriere della Sera, Antonio De Matteis, CEO of Kiton, announced that the company had purchased 30 000 square metres of land near its headquarters in Arzano in order to boost the “production of accessories and shoes, as well as pants and shirts, as both segments are growing”. He added that the investment will amount to around 30 million euros and will also allow the creation of new jobs in the area.

Ultimately, the aim is to build a new production cluster that is even more focused on product quality: “Quality is the central competitive lever for Italian companies of the fashion industry”, he emphasised.

Founded in Naples by Ciro Paone in 1986, Kiton comprises 5 manufacturing sites in Italy, employing a total of 800 people (half of whom are artisans). This number is set to increase, starting with the forthcoming opening of a new boutique in Frankfurt.
