Kering creates two group centres of excellence
The France-based luxury group has announced the creation of two new group centres of excellence – Industry and Client – designed to support the operational performance and development of its Houses
The two excellence centres will coordinate key functions across the group. The aim is to provide the Houses with a unified framework, increased resources, and powerful tools to help them implement their strategies more quickly. At the same time, Kering announced several key appointments within these two divisions.

The Industry centre will focus on production and operations-related areas, including purchasing, manufacturing, supply chain management, quality control, and research and development. The centre will be led by Stéphane Noël, who has been appointed Chief Industrial Officer with effect from the 1st of April. He has around 30 years’ experience managing large-scale manufacturing operations internationally.

Meanwhile, the Client centre will oversee functions relating to commercial strategy and customer engagement. These include product and pricing strategy, marketing, distribution channels, sales planning, and data management. Carlo Mocci will lead this centre as Chief Client Officer, joining on the 4th of May. He has over 20 years’ experience in operational leadership, particularly in retail and consumer technology.

“I am delighted to welcome leaders who are recognized in their complementary areas of expertise to accelerate the transformation we have initiated. Our Houses are the heart of Kering, and the Group platform is there to support their growth and performance. With these new centers of excellence, we are clarifying the organization, connecting the teams and ensuring efficiency across the Group to give our Houses the means to go faster and further”, commented Luca de Meo, CEO of Kering.

In this restructuring, Fedele Usai has also been appointed Chief Marketing Officer, with responsibility for marketing strategy, branding, media and customer experience. Meanwhile, Daniele Zito will serve as Chief Commercial Officer, overseeing the group’s global distribution strategy across retail, e-commerce and wholesale channels.
