Informa announces new editions for its US events
The company organising footwear events such as Magic, Project and Coterie, recently announced a new calendar of events for footwear in the US. We have spoken with Jordan Rudow, VP of Events to learn more about the new dates and events
"For the second half of the year, our events schedule will include a combination of formats and locations - both new and returning - providing the footwear industry with a diverse selection of shopping and showcasing opportunities in a variety of markets", Jordan starts by telling us.

Kicking off in July, from the 10th to the 12th, and timed to Swim Week, Informa is hosting co-located, curated events of destination: miami by COTERIE and PROJECT Miami at the Eden Roc hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. destination: miami by COTERIE will showcase women’s resortwear, swimwear, and vacation-inspired apparel, footwear, and accessories spanning contemporary, advanced contemporary, and affordable luxury price points, while PROJECT Miami will feature men’s and women’s contemporary apparel, footwear, and accessories brands with price points ranging from mid-market to premium. An accompanying digital showroom platform will also be available before, during, and, after the Miami events which will further extend shopping and connection opportunities for both brands and buyers.

In August (9th -11th) we will witness the return to Las Vegas Convention Center of keystone events MAGIC Las Vegas, PROJECT Las Vegas, and Sourcing at MAGIC. Shopping and showcasing opportunities for the footwear industry will include dedicated footwear areas at both MAGIC Las Vegas, the trend and young contemporary market event, and PROJECT Las Vegas, the men’s and women’s contemporary event.  Additionally, Sourcing at MAGIC, the sourcing and supply chain market event, will return with its dedicated “footwear at sourcing” area on the show floor for brands looking to update their supply chain or source materials in newer regions across the globe, or for retailers looking to start or expand private label.

In mid September (from the 19th to the 21st) flagship event New York-based event COTERIE New York will be back. An event featuring elevated and advanced contemporary women’s footwear, apparel, and accessories brands at price points from premium to affordable luxury. Running concurrently and co-located next to the COTERIE event at the Jacob Javits Center, is the exciting East Coast debut of MAGIC New York. Serving new and differentiated market segments from MAGIC’s flagship event in Las Vegas, MAGIC New York will showcase a curated collection of women’s sportswear, footwear, trend, young contemporary, accessories, and children’s categories - spanning value to moderate price points – in addition to being the new home for brands previously featured within Sole Commerce, as well as FAME and MODA. At each event, footwear will be merchandised together in dedicated areas on the show floor

Micam Americas

MICAM Americas, a footwear show, will not be a standalone event in Las Vegas. However Informa still wants to offer a "comprehensive selection of previously available footwear brands", which will now be organized by market segment and price point for a more streamlined shopping experience. "Trend and young contemporary footwear brands at price points from value to mass market will be cohesively merchandised together in a dedicated footwear area at MAGIC Las Vegas, while PROJECT Las Vegas will present a dedicated footwear section featuring contemporary men’s and women’s footwear brands at price points from mid-market to premium. We will also have additional footwear opportunities in additional markets, such as recently announced women’s and children’s market events - COTERIE New York and MAGIC New York, in addition to more curated opportunities at our Miami events".

"As you can see, it’s an exciting time and we are thrilled to be providing a packed calendar of events in support of the footwear industry and its evolved and ongoing needs", Ms Rudow concluded.
