Genesco unveils Wrangler footwear collection
The US-based footwear retailer has launched its first Wrangler footwear collection under a multi-year licensing agreement with Kontoor Brands, owner of the denim and lifestyle brand
“Wrangler represents a significant growth opportunity for Genesco Brands Group and reflects our strategy to build and scale leading lifestyle brands in footwear”, said Rick Higgins, president of Genesco Brands Group. “We’ve combined Wrangler’s iconic heritage and deep connection with consumers with our footwear expertise to create a collection that is unmistakably Wrangler”, he added.
Drawing on Wrangler’s Western styling, the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection includes men’s, women’s and children’s footwear spanning Western, work and casual categories. The collection was launched on the 15th of September at Wrangler.com, with select US retailers set to follow later in the season. Prices range from 100 to 240 US dollars.
Wrangler sees footwear as an extension of its Western positioning and everyday product offering. In this context, Steve Armus, Vice President of Licensing and Collaborations at Wrangler, said: “Genesco’s proven footwear expertise makes them the ideal partner to translate our authentic style into a comprehensive collection”.
