Genesco establishes global retail organisation to strengthen consumer focus

The Nashville-based footwear group has brought together Journeys, Schuh and Little Burgundy in order to strengthen its market positioning and maximise opportunities, with a focus on consumers
The newly established Journeys Global Retail Group, which unites the Journeys, Schuh and Little Burgundy brands, is expected to establish the business as the” world’s leading style-led, youth footwear retail group, with a sharp focus on the female consumer”.
“Journeys, schuh and Little Burgundy are the destination retailers for the young, style-led female across their respective markets. We see clear opportunities in every market to grow share by reaching more consumers as we strengthen our brand awareness and elevate our experiences”, said Mimi E. Vaughn, Board Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer.
Andy Gray will lead the Journeys Global Retail Group, while Chris Santaella has been appointed Chief Merchandising Officer and will oversee product strategy and the merchant teams. The leadership of Schuh and Little Burgundy will remain in their roles and report to this new organisation.
