Footwear and accessories sectors gear up for the next edition of Expo Riva Schuh and Gardabags
Taking place from the 14th to the 17th of June, the 103rd edition of the leading trade fair event aims to be a central reference point for the footwear and accessories sector amid a challenging global business environment
“Now more than ever, in a world marked by tariff barriers and geopolitical crises, the most reliable path forward is face-to-face interaction – dialogue, collaboration and the creation of new strategies and partnerships”, says the organisation launching the motto for an edition which aims to be more than just a business event. 

In fact, from the 14th to 17th of June in Riva del Garda, Italy, participants will have numerous opportunities to meet, discuss and update their professional knowledge while actively promoting community cohesion.

Highlights Area

Located in Hall A2 and organised in collaboration with Arsutoria, the Highlights area aims to provide participants with insights into the latest fashion and consumer trends. It does this by recommending ‘must-buy’ models, which are selected from samples provided by exhibitors and chosen by the Fashion Committee to embody key trends. 

The area will also host a variety of workshops led by industry experts, focusing on shoes, bags, and sneakers.


Market Focus

The Market Focus sessions are “fundamental appointments where production and distribution meet”. Buyers from around the world will have the opportunity to share their experience and expertise, providing a better understanding of the ever-changing dynamics that drive business in different international markets.

Innovation Village Retail

Innovation will be at the heart of Expo Riva Schuh and Gardabags.  In Hall B2/A2, the Innovation Village Retail will welcome nine start-ups from seven countries, all presenting solutions ranging from artificial intelligence to the circular economy.

The start-ups are: SENTIO (AI for predictive merchandising), Teticum (empathic virtual assistants), SizeWise (digital measurement for e-commerce), Irisphera (virtual shopping with 3D avatars), ZEROW (reuse of excess inventory), Revivo (outsourced product repair), Freshfeet (dual-size and breathable technology), MannyAI (collaborative and predictive supply chains) and WEEV (digital asset management and sustainability).

There will also be three pitch sessions, during which the start-ups will present their projects to a jury of industry experts and the exhibition’s visitors. The jury will decide on the most innovative solution and the winner of the Startup Competition award.


Overall, the Innovation Village Retail aims to promote a culture of innovation, facilitating networking and commercial synergies between young companies and industry leaders.

Gardabags Project

Gardabags, the fair dedicated to bags, accessories and luggage, which is held concurrently with Expo Riva Schuh, is expanding and undergoing a revamp.

The new event layout has been specifically designed around the buyer’s journey and divides the area into three sectors (Sourcing, Sourcing4Bridge and Brands) based on the industry’s value chain. This will help buyers to find what they need more easily and connect with the appropriate manufacturers and brands, thereby improving networking efficiency.
