Ferragamo's nine-month revenue remains stable amid market headwinds
The Italy-based luxury group reported a stable revenue over the first nine months of 2026, with growth in direct-to-consumer sales offsetting a decline in wholesale amid challenging market conditions
In the first nine months of the year, Ferragamo recorded a revenue of 675 million euros, which is in line with the same period last year at constant exchange rates, but down by 2.8% at current rates.

Revenue in the third quarter alone amounted to 207 million euros, reflecting a year-on-year decrease of 3.5% at constant exchange rates or 6.2% at current rates.

“The market backdrop remained particularly challenging during the third quarter, impacted by ongoing geopolitical tensions and a generally subdued consumer environment over the summer, with weaker sentiment slowing the positive momentum across several key markets and further deteriorating the trend in Asia, in particular in China”, highlighted the group in a statement.

However, Ferragamo said that its strategic initiatives had helped to keep third quarter direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales stable year-on-year at constant exchange rates.

Channels

In the first nine months of the year, sales growth from the DTC channel was 4.0% year-on-year at constant exchange rates, or 1.9% at current rates, driven by positive trends in all regions except China and Japan, equating a total of 537 million euros. In the third quarter alone, DTC sales remained stable at constant exchange rates.

This offset the negative trend in the wholesale channel, which recorded a 13.4% decrease, or a 15.0% decrease at current exchange rates, compared to the first nine months of 2025. This channel is currently undergoing strategic rationalisation.

Regional Performance

In the first nine months of the current year, North America delivered the best regional performance, generating 222 million euros. This represented an increase of 11.2% at constant exchange rates and 7.3% at current exchange rates compared to the same period in 2025.  Its share of net sales increased from 30.8% a year earlier to 33.6%.

Growth in Central and South America was recorded at 4.8% at constant exchange rates, reaching 59 million euros. At current exchange rates, sales increased by 11.2%.

In contrast, the group’s net sales fell by 7.4% to 161.8 million euros at constant exchange rates in Europe, while sales in the Asia Pacific region declined by 5.3% to 167 million euros. At current exchange rates, net sales fell by 8.6% and 6.1%, respectively, compared to the first nine months of the previous year. In Japan, there was a 2.2% year-on-year decrease at constant exchange rates, with sales totalling 50.5 million euros.

Product Category

Footwear remained Ferragamo’s largest product category, with nine-month net sales of 297 million euros. This represented an increase of 2.6% at constant exchange rates and 1.3% at current exchange rates compared to the same period in 2025, accounting for 45% of total net sales.

Meanwhile, sales of leather goods generated 270.3 million euros in the nine months up to September, accounting for 41% of net sales. This represented a decline of 3.5% at constant exchange rates and 5.8% at current exchange rates.

During this nine-month period, sales of apparel increased by 5.1% at constant exchange rates, reaching 41.8 million euros. Meanwhile, sales of silk and other products rose by 3.9%, reaching 51 million euros. At current exchange rates, apparel sales grew by 2.6%, while sales of silk and other products increased by 0.3%.
