Dr. Martens appoints former Burberry executive as Global Customer Director

The UK-based footwear company has appointed Katie Morton as its new Global Customer Director. Through this, Dr. Martens aims to strengthen its consumer-centric approach on a global scale
Katie Morton will take on this role on the 26th of October, reporting directly to Chief Brand Officer Carla Murphy. She will join the company’s leadership team and help strengthen the consumer-first operating model, reinforcing the importance of consumer insight and experience in building brand relevance, loyalty, and long-term growth.
Morton joins Dr. Martens from her position as an independent consultant, where she advised brands such as Fortnum & Mason on consumer strategy, transformation, and international growth. She previously spent over 17 years at Burberry, where she held several senior global roles and helped to develop the brand’s digital and omnichannel strategy. Most recently, she served as Global Vice President of Online to Offline.

This appointment follows a series of recent senior leadership appointments across the brand, product and consumer organisation. These include Isadora Versiani as Global Product Design Director and Nadia Svensson as Global Merchandising and Product Director.
