Brooks Running reshuffles leadership team

The Seattle-based shoe running company has announced several promotions within its executive leadership team as part of its strategy to accelerate global expansion
Brooks Running promoted Carson Caprara to the role of Chief Product Officer, while also expanding the responsibilities of Chief Marketing Officer Melanie Allen. The company also appointed Mike Billish as senior vice president and general manager of the Americas, a newly created role.
According to media reports, these promotions form part of a broader strategic restructuring of the company’s operations as it looks to scale its global business through market expansion, category growth, and improving consumer experiences.
Billish, who has worked at Brooks for over 23 years, will now be responsible for the Brooks’ business in the Americas region (US, Canada and Latin America), including wholesale, direct, marketing and retail operations. This will see commercial execution and regional decision-making brought together under the leadership of a single person.
Caprara is now tasked with helping to expand the company’s range of products, following 21 years at Brooks, most recently as senior vice president of footwear and apparel. Meanwhile, Allen’s additional responsibilities will focus on long-term strategic foresight, global consumer insight, and improving branded experiences across digital and physical touchpoints worldwide.
“These moves ensure the right leaders are focused on the right time horizons. By strengthening both our global leadership and our North America operating model, we’re positioning Brooks to win today – and scale for the future”, said CEO Dan Sheridan.
