Arklyz closes deal to acquire Gabor Shoes
The Switzerland-based sports and lifestyle group has announced the completion of its acquisition of Gabor Shoes. No financial details of the transaction have been released
Arklyz has confirmed that all customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions have been satisfied and that the transaction has now been completed. The Swiss group has therefore acquired 100% of the shares in Gabor Shoes and its operating subsidiaries. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“Gabor is a brand with heart, heritage, and an incredibly strong connection to its customers. We are proud to welcome Gabor to Arklyz and are excited to work closely with the Gabor team to build on its solid foundation and unlock long-term, sustainable growth while preserving everything that makes Gabor special”, said Param Singh, Owner & CEO of Arklyz.

According to the statement, Gabor will continue to operate under its existing brand, leadership team and operational structure. However, thanks to the acquisition, the company will benefit from enhanced international capabilities, improved digital experiences, and increased operational support

Founded in 2018, Arklyz specialises in brand management, distribution, retail, e-commerce and manufacturing. It owns and operates The Athlete’s Foot, Asphaltgold, Intersocks, Arkrod and Lloyd, and distributes products from brands such as Crocs, Salomon and Head.

“This is an important milestone for Gabor”, stated Stefan Bloechinger, CEO of Gabor Shoes. “With Arklyz as our new partner, we are well positioned to continue growing the brand in a stable and forward-looking way. Our focus remains on our customers, our partners, and our employees – and on delivering the quality and comfort that define Gabor”.

Founded in 1949, Gabor has built a reputation for producing comfortable shoes by combining traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing methods. Its shoes are sold in over 60 countries worldwide through retail, wholesale and e-commerce channels.
