Aerosoles expands into new product categories
The American Exchange Group-owned footwear brand will launch men’s and children’s footwear and handbags in September. This will be one of the most significant category expansions in its nearly four-decade history
Aerosoles is expanding its product portfolio to include men’s and children’s footwear, as well as handbags. These new categories are expected to be introduced in September as part of the company’s ongoing evolution from a footwear brand to a broader lifestyle business.

This follows a two-year period during which Aerosoles has strengthened its core women’s footwear business under the leadership of President and Chief Brand Officer, Jimmy Gabriel. During this time, the company has modernised the brand through product innovation, storytelling and customer engagement, all the while maintaining its focus on comfort.

According to Gabriel, strengthening the company’s core business and rebuilding customer confidence were priorities before moving into additional categories

“Once the core was strong and the customer believed in Aerosoles again, moving into men’s, kids’, and handbags became a natural evolution. That is Brand Building 101: get the product right, earn the customer’s trust, and then grow from a position of strength”, he said.

In terms of men’s footwear, Aerosoles will focus on loafers, trainers and versatile boots. Meanwhile, the children’s range will comprise comfortable knitted flats in a variety of colours. The handbag range will include crossbody bags, totes and shoulder bags in a variety of materials, colours and hardware finishes.

The new product range will feature in Aerosoles’ autumn 2026 ‘Be Real’ campaign. In September, the company will also relaunch its catalogue, which will feature campaign imagery, details of the season's new product categories and editorial content. Aerosoles expects that the new categories will broaden its customer base and strengthen its relationships with retail partners

“When we can sit down with a retailer and discuss women’s, men’s, kids’, and handbags, we are no longer presenting just another footwear collection; we are presenting a complete brand strategy. That changes the conversation, the amount of space we can earn, and the size of the opportunity”, he concluded.
