Wolverine Worldwide named Company of the Year received 5 Plus Awards
Wolverine Worldwide and its brands have received five Plus Awards, including Company of the Year. The awards were announced two days ago at an event hosted by the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) and Footwear Plus, the footwear trade publication.

The Plus Awards were created 15 years ago and they are voted on by thousands of U.S. retailers (department stores, outdoor specialty stores and independent retailers), making these awards quite unique for the sector.

The 2013 edition has honored Wolverine with five awards:
- Company of the Year, for the third consecutive year.
- Brand of Year: Sperry Top-Sider, the brand has been around since 1935 when Paul Sperry invented the worlds first boat shoe.
- Work Boots: Wolverine, the oldest brand of the group, created in 1983.
- Athletic Lifestyle: Keds, the brand known for the introduction of the Champion Sneaker.
- Outdoor: Merrell, the brand purchased in 1997, that presents lines for man, woman and children, and collections developed for running and hiking activities.

"We are very proud to receive the Footwear Plus Company of the Year Award for the third year in a row," commented Blake Krueger, Wolverine Worldwide Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.  "This recognition and the other Plus Awards for our brands are extra special to us because they are voted on by our numerous retail partners across the United States. Delivering our very best to those partners and creating powerful brand experiences with our consumers is something to which our entire team is dedicated every single day."
