Vicente Pastor takes the helm as new President of FICE

Vicente Pastor has been named of the Spanish Footwear Industries Federation (FICE). He succeeds Rosana Perán, who had held the position since 2022

Vicente Pastor was named president of the Spanish Federation of Footwear Industries (FICE) after the footwear employers’ association held its electoral assembly in Madrid on the 29^th of October.

He is currently president of the Valencian Association of Footwear Businessmen (AVECAL) (since November 2024) and of the FICIA Foundation, which is dedicated to promoting the footwear sector.

His career in the industry, which began in 1987, includes serving as General Director of the Spanish Footwear Fashion Forum (1999-2004), Trade & Marketing Director at Florencia Marco (until 2014), and Executive Director of Creaciones SW (since 2014).

This appointment marks a new chapter in the footwear businessman’s career in business associationism. He first became involved in the FICE Committee in 1992 and has been a member ever since, later joining the AVECAL board when it was established in 2015.

Pastor expressed his gratitude for the confidence placed in him, saying that he would work hard to “strengthen the business growth of the footwear industry by developing key projects. Footwear is a valuable sector with a lot of potential, and we are going to continue fighting for its future”.

The businessman paid tribute to the former president, Rosana Perán, praising her dedication and the work she has done at the helm of FICE since 2022. The new president of FICE has emphasised the importance of fostering collaboration between Spain’s various footwear hubs and regions.

“We must continue to fight for this sector because it is worth it. FICE must be the catalyst and driving force behind action to create new opportunities or accelerate existing initiatives”, Pastor emphasised.
