The second life of Mariano
Not even the pandemic was an obstacle for Mariano Shoes. With 75 years of existence, the Portuguese-based footwear company wants to internationalize the brand through the online channel and with a focus on the women's segment
All Around Shoes, the brand's new shareholder, has already invested one million euros to internationalize a brand: “The top priority is the re-internationalization of the brand and we are confident that, having the pandemic issue resolved, we will be able to quickly make Mariano an international reference brand”, explained the executive director of All Around Shoes.

Fátima Oliveira also explained that 80% of Mariano Shoes' sales are destined to the international markets, with the USA, United Kingdom and France being the main markets and, therefore, part of the investment will be made through online channels: "Online feedback reveals that there is brand recognition and very good acceptance".

The company based in S. João da Madeira wants to invest in the internationalization of the brand, through digital channels and investments in leather goods-related projects are in the pipeline as well.

The Female Segment

But the news does not end here. Now, Mariano offers a women's collection with eight models. The goal is to continue to invest in this segment and, in the next summer collection models of sandals will be included as well.
