Mango promotes Marlies Hersbach to Chief People Officer

The Spain-based company has promoted Marlies Hersbach, who is currently Chief Online and Customer Officer, to the position of Chief People Officer with effect from January 2027
The current Chief Online and Customer Officer, who is also a member of the Executive Committee, will succeed David Payeras. He will leave the company in January 2027 to pursue new professional opportunities, but over the coming months, he will work with his successor to ensure a smooth transition.
As Chief People Officer, Hersbach will report directly to CEO Toni Ruiz and will be responsible for the entire human resources department. She first joined Mango in 2020 as International Retail Director. In 2024, she became E-commerce Executive Director, and in July 2025 she joined the Executive Committee as Chief Online and Customer Officer.
“Taking on responsibility for the human resources department is a new and exciting challenge for me, which I am very much looking forward to. In my previous roles at Mango, I have repeatedly experienced that it is the people who make the difference: our teams, their collaboration, and our shared corporate culture. I want to build on that”, said the designated Chief People Officer.
Prior to joining the Spanish company in 2020, Hersbach had worked for French companies, including Kiabi and Pimkie.
