Liberty Shoes Chairman urges lower taxes
Adesh Gupta, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Liberty Shoes Ltd., claimed a lower rate of the Goods and Services Tax on branded footwear
The executive was addressing his claim to the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the local Government, urging them to impose a lower tax rate on branded footwear (5%).

Mr. Gupta also asked the Government to work on the implementation of a separate policy for attracting new investments for the footwear industry. In his view this will be key to create new jobs.
