Get to know Paradigma

May 29, 2015 Portugal

Paradigma is a brand born within a Portuguese footwear company founded in 1987, which accumulated precious know-how relating to the manufacturing of high quality shoes

Times have changed since the end of the 80s and so has the strategy of the company, but since the early days the focus on incorporating superior quality materials (with a particular preference for leather) has been a priority. But it is not just the materials that result in a superior product, as the manufacturing process is key. For Paradigma, the production of each model calls for hundreds of manual operations, combining traditional manufacturing methods with the latest technology.

The company is a specialist in the Blake system, through which the cut is sewn to the sole in a full way, giving the shoe an increased robustness.

In each collection, Paradigma strives to present different proposals, ranging from timeless classics to reinterpretations with new details and contemporary finishes, following the market trends. In order to reach all age groups the brand offers three distinct lines: the classics (using the Blake system), a creative line (incorporating new trends) and an extra light line (classic shoes, with a fashionable twist and lightness above average).

Paradigma exports more than 90% of the production coming out of its factory, located in Guimarães, a region in the North of Portugal with a strong tradition in the footwear manufacturing.

In the brands own words, the aim is to “to provide customers with a high quality product and best possible service, at a fair price”.

The creation of a women’ shoe line or the inclusion of accessories to the collection are two possible long terms challenges. For a brand currently focusing in men’s footwear in exclusive.
