Crocs is being said to have sued multiple retailers for design and trademark infringement with actions filled in several lower courts in Delhi. The local arm of the American footwear retailer Crocs has been pursuing legal actions against companies such as Bata India Ltd, Relaxo Footwear Ltd and Coqui (owned by Jinske (China) Ltd) among others, in several courts.

Crocs India is claiming this set of actions is the result of a long investigative process to protect the brand. Crocs' American legal team has been involved in the process that looked into the sale of similar products across multiple retailers to help building the cases.
