Bella Hadid wears Portuguese shoes at Cannes
Bella Hadid shined in Cannes with Portuguese footwear. The international model stepped out in public wearing a pair of sandals by the brand Alameda Turquesa
Bella's look caught the eye of Vogue France, who wrote “On her feet, a pair of heeled sandals, accentuated by a maxi floral detail, by the young, up-and-coming brand Alameda Turquesa. Handmade in Portugal, the growing label’s creations celebrate traditional Portuguese craftsmanship. Bella Hadid opted for the Clarissa model, still available online, in the same colour as the dress she wore that day, confirming the trend for floral shoes this summer”.

“We are just a small family brand from Portugal, working at our family atelier in our hometown, Coimbra. This is insane”, the brand responded in social media.

This isn’t the first time that the Portuguese brand has dressed some of the world’s most known celebrities. Recently, Cindy Crawford was spotted in public wearing a pair of Nefertiti golden sandals. Gigi Hadid has also been seen wearing some of the brand’s boots. In 2017, Alameda Turquesa launched a capsule collection with Chiara Ferragni and in 2015 Anna dello Russo featured the brand in Vogue Japan. But that’s not all. Sofía Vergara has also promoted the brand on her social networks, and Dua Lipa, Bella Hadid and Juliana Paes are some of Almada Turquesa’s customers.

Alameda Turquesa was born in 2012 at the hands of Ana, Carolina’s mother, who now runs the brand. What started as a joke on social media quickly took off.
