The Herzogenaurach-based sportswear giant is planning to open 3 000 stores in China over the next five years, whic will result in an expansion of its distribution network to 12 000 stores in China from its current 9 000.

This expansion will also include a diversification of the geography of adidas points of sale in China, as the group aims to double the number of cities where it sells its products, to a total of more than 2 200 cities.
