Abicalçados and Apex-Brasil renew agreement
During the latest edition of the Francal trade fair, the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) announced the renewal of the agreement to maintain the Brazilian Footwear program, developed in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil)
The President of Abicalçados' Governing Board, Caetano Bianco Neto, commented on the occasion: "Heitor Klein was coming to the fair when he needed to change course to Brasília to sign the agreement with Apex-Brasil. It is tremendous news, filling the industry with impetus".

According to Haroldo Ferreira, Abicalçados' Executive Director, 30.8 million Brazilian Reais (roughly 7.2 million euros)* will be invested in trade and international promotion actions in the two coming years.

Of this total, 16 million Brazilian Reais (approximately roughly 3.74 million euros) will come from the Agency and 14 million Brazilian Reais (roughly 3.27 million euros) are the counterpart provided by members of the Programme. This value is invested in actions geared towards the internationalization of Brazilian footwear, focusing on the target markets of the United States, Peru, the United Kingdom, France, and China. In addition, some actions will be carried out in Italy.

Welcoming the news of renewal of the agreement, Francal's President, Abdala Jamil Abdala, stressed the added encouragement it will give to exhibitors, highlighting the importance of the partnership between Abicalçados and Apex-Brasil.
