Unusual Minion shoes raise money for charity
10 pairs of Rupert Sanderson-designed shoes, inspired by the film, were sold at auction, raising 42 425 US dollars for charity Art + Practice
The shoes made their first appearance when used by American actress Sandra Bullock at the red-carpet at the London premiere of the animation movie Minions. At the time Sandra Bullock hit the news for using the yellow Minion–themed shoes at an official premier.

Now, 10 pairs of the shoes designed by Rupert Sanderson and individually autographed by Sandra Bullock were sold in auction raising funds for Charity Art + Practice.

The charity, founded by artist Mark Bradford, philanthropist and collector Eileen Harris Norton, and social activist Allan DiCastro, encourages education and culture for foster youth in the Leimert Park district of Los Angeles.

The final amount from the auction, which took place on Charitybuzz.com, was match-funded by Bullock, as reported by local press, bringing the total to 84 850 US dollars.
